About the SSF Portal

An innovative approach to help small farms

Our story

In 2014, Dr. Rox started her research to uncover how Small Farms in Maine where using Social Media and the Internet to be more Profitable. What she uncovered is that Small Farm Owners were taking on more than the average Joe. Many of the Small Farm Owners worked from sun up well into the night, and they needed more help!

Enter Shop Small Farms LLC

After publishing her work, Dr. Rox wanted to reach out and help the farming community. She spent months thinking about the best way to take work off of the farmers that she loved, while helping them be more profitable and sustainable for the long run. That turned into committment to build a website and sales community that would be easy for Farmers and Shoppers alike to navigate.

Thank you for joining us! We are always looking for ways to make this website better for the Farmers and Shoppers that we love. Please, stay tuned as we grow this community and reach out to more farms across the United States of America.
