****** New for 2020 - DONATE A SHARE- If you would like to donate a share to a family in Need in Aroostook County Maine, please select that option during your purchase and we will happily supply a family with fresh food. If you purchase more than one share each week, we will send you an email asking how many shares you would like donated and how many you would like to go to your home. Pay Weekly for your CSA Share – If you select weekly payments, this first payment you make will go to the first week that we are able to begin delivery. On that day you will be sent an email invoice to pay for the following week. Failure to pay by Friday of the invoiced week will result in no produce delivered the following week. We will continue to send invoices on delivery day each week, but after 4 weeks of rejection, we will offer your held share to another family and will stop sending you information.

These items will be sourced from farms who are in your town or farms that are in Maine and have the ability to ship statewide. Our goal with this add-on is to introduce you to local farmers who produce more than just fruits and veggies. We anticipate 1 delivery each month for 6 consecutive months, starting in May or June.

  • Give the gift you have been enjoying all season to a loved one. We will deliver one CSA Box packed with goodies to a friend/family member of your choosing located in Aroostook County Maine.

The produce placed in each bag is hand-selected by our team of culinary and agronomy experts each week to maximize flavor and health benefits. There is a $30 Membership Fee to participate in this program. This membership fee helps us to meet with farmers, provide training to the farmers and delivery driver, and purchase packaging materials and supplies; $15 out of each membership fee gets shared between all of the farmers in the program to purchase seeds and supplies for the season.

Delivery:

1 share is equal to 7 - 9 farm fresh produce items delivered to your door each week (see photo here for a sample delivery bag from 2019). The number of items you receive is based on what is currently fresh and ready to harvest. We will portion your share based on the number of servings you select.

Pictured is an example of a single serving of various items - 3 small cucumbers, 2 apples, 2 beets, one small zucchini, a cup of beans, 2 ears of corn, one small cabbage, one small broccoli, one bunch of kale, one medium tomato, two medium potatoes, etc. We do our best to portion each item included based on the standard serving size listed online by organizations like the American Heart Association, however some items are just too large for a single serving and may result in you getting one very large item and 6 smaller ones instead of 8 small ones.

Participating Farms:

Trey Star Farm, Presque Isle

Bear Trail Farm, Island Falls

Tiny Farmer’s Farm, Ludlow

Blueraven Farm, Island Falls

Mountain View Farm, Dyer Brook

Marley Mountain Poultry, Smyrna Mills

and many other small farms throughout Maine!

The Brookside Restaurant will also be participating by offering meals and desserts as bonus add for deliveries throughout the season. We look forward to working with them and letting you know when their menu features local fresh produce from farmers in the area.

  • Shares are available on a first come first serve basis.
  • Our Farmers will be growing to fill 100 shares, but as Mother Nature proves year after year, we cannot guarantee the yield. Sometimes we have extra and other times – not so much.
  • If you are a canner, prepper, or just have a large family and are interested in delivery of bulk produce at a discounted price, please reach out to us when you make your purchase and we will send special emails as these items become available.
  • We ask that if you sign up for membership, you commit to purchasing at least 17 weeks throughout the season (unless you are on the “bulk only” or “as available list”. Individuals who sign up for this program but miss more than two consecutive weeks will be moved to the “bulk only” or “as available” list and another customer will be offered your spot.
  • We will provide bags on delivery for the first 2 weeks of shares, please return these bags to your delivery driver so that he/she can use them for the next week. The bags will have your delivery information on them so that we ensure you get great service.
